Standing in Fields of Granite and Stone.
Die Amidst The Baptism of Fire
Where Death is Hailed by Tributes of Fire
Friend and Foe were Both to go
As Bullets Ripped, Through Flesh and Soul
Leaving Both Friend and Foe.
Shattered Dreams and Broken Hearts
Fell as Each One's Life was Lost
Death Had Come To Quench its Thirst
The Tools of War Gave Him His Feast
Is This The Price That spilled Their Blood?
To See Them Turn From Flesh To Stone
For is Our Monument To Them or War?
These Men of Granite Will Not Come Home.
