A PLAY OF WORDS CONTINUES 26

THE VIETNAM WALL. THE MEN OF GRANITE

DEDICATED TO THE MEN OF VIETNAM
AND ALL WHO SERVED

The Stone that Rises
before them all
Were
Men of Flesh
before the Fall

A
Tribute
of The Ones
of Stone
Carved
in Granite
to show the cause

A
life that once
felt these Hearts
Now
is lost
in Men of Stone

These
Soldier's
who fight no more
Only
stand
with an unknown cause

In
fields of lifeless still

To
Speak
Out of Why it Was

Once
on a Battlefield!
Where
Men were Flesh

Are
we to be Flesh or Stone?

These
Men of Granite
will not come Home

A
Life,
a Tribute of the Cause

A
Price
they Paid
to be in Stone

Is
it fitting to the end?
To
stand a bliss
and see the end?

Can
We
Not Make
Peace Our Friend?
Carve
a Monument
To The End?

Leave
The Men
with Flesh and Feet
Hearts
and Minds
Not Torn Apart

These
Souls
Amidst Tombs of Stone

Standing
in Fields
of Granite and Stone

Die
Amidst
The Baptism of Fire
Where
Death is Hailed
 by Tributes of Fire

Friend
and Foe
were Both to go

As
Bullets
Ripped,
Through
Flesh and Soul

Leaving
Both
Friend and Foe
Shattered
Dreams
and Broken Hearts

Fell
as Each
One's
Life was Lost

Death
Had
Come
To
Quench its Thirst

The
Tools of War
Gave Him His Feast

Is
This
The Price
That spilled Their Blood?

To
See
Them Turn
From Flesh To Stone

For
is Our
Monument
To Them or War?

These
Men of Granite
Will Not Come Home.

A Poeatreeman

If I could be
as Hard as Granite

I
would be less
than Flesh and Bone

If
I could assure you
My Heart and Soul
are One with Them

You'll
 know I was not
Steel of Granite

If
you can see
the tears that fall
You'll
know there is
a Soul in this.

SERVED IN VIETNAM FROM 1968 TO 1970
NOW MY GOD WILL WHEEL ME HOME.

UNWANTED SOLDIERS

TRIBUTE TO THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVED IN VIETNAM

To The Men of Vietnam
For
their valiant efforts

No
matter
what their cause

You
served in a place
where no one won
felt the pain
of untold sums

You
left your home
carried through
All
the fears
that
came with you

To
a land
you did not know
Or
reasons
why
it came to be

A
price
you
paid for liberty

To
do your best
and hope to be
That
all you have done
is not in vain

A
life or a friend
that you
came to know
One
that might
die for you
Or
someone
that you lost

These
Men of Nam
who came to see
The
blood that spilled
was tears of pain

Sharper
than
a bullets sting

For
on the front
they
were not alone
They
had
a front to see

back where
the flag waves
The
fight
had just begun

No
bullets to fire
only pain
and sorrow

For
you left us
with an
empty hope

No
place to go
and heal
our wounds
For
deeper
were they
when
we
came home

More
brutal
than
the war we left

It's
all too well
who criticize
The men who
Went this way

For
if we fail
to take a stand
Where
will you critics be?

Not
all is right
when one must fight

I
am hoping
as we learn

That
when we do
it is for the right
Of us
to keep our Home.

POEATREEMAN: TRIBUTE TO AMERICAN 9/11

IF

THE BEST OF HOPE

If you can
Take the Worst
make it Best
You'll Feel
that Life is
Worth the Rest

If you can
Take the Worst
and make it Small
You'll make yourself
that much Tall

If you can
Take the Worst
Look at what it is
You'll be much
Wiser for it All

If you can
Take the Worst
Deal
with its Quirks
You'll see
the Other Side
what can be Worse?

If you can
Take the Worst
Overcome
its Aims
You'll Feel
the Lesser
of its Pains

If you can
Take the Worst
Look at the Best
You'll have Shared
your Tragedies
with Some Hope

If you can
Take the Worst
Keep your Heart
You'll have Touched
the Earth
with your Tears

If you can
Take the Worst
Walk with a Smile
You'll have Said
that Life was
Well Worth While.

GOD IS WAITING

IT TAKES LOVE
TO REACH  HIM

SORROW
DOES NOT END

IT BEGINS
HEALING
WHEN FAITH
IS THERE.

A POET’S NOTE

TO THE HOKIES
Satan had
His Carnage
God
will have His Day
Sorrow
is not Easy
Hate
is not the Way
Love
will not be Easy
When
Hate is in the Way
Why
Cannot be answered
So Faith
must be your Way

Mariette Davina - You Are Holy - Official Music Video

WHAT WARMS MY WAY?

The breath of God ,
when He's next to me

The smile of a child ,
who looks to me

The humanity of the world ,
To love each one

The sun when it shines ,
When I awake to see

The beauty of nature ,
When I see all the flowers

The day I was born ,
When God gave me an hour

The heart that I loved ,
When I found I was feeling

The tears that fell ,
When love was hurting

The hope that comes ,
When darkness falls

The times I learned ,
When life taught me

The sense I feel ,
When I pray to God

The hour that I spent,
When I was looking for God.

To Mariette Davina

Poeatreeman

If I shared a tear ,
touched a heart

Life will have
been painful

But oh ! ,
What cares will I have

I've shared a child’s smile,
God smiled on me

I found the world's tears
they came to be part of me.

I RISE TO FALL

Even Though
I Fall once More

I Rise
To a Greater Step

Far Above
The Fall I've Met

As Long
As I Keep Going

Not Stay Down
Beneath my Fall

Getting Up
To Try Once More

Will be
My Greatest Test

To Keep
From Falling
As I Step

Will be
A Monument
To Success

To Climb
The Stars
No matter How Far

For there's
Nothing I Can't Do

As long
As I Reach
To The Heavens

When
I Stand Upon The Stars

I'll know
How far
I've Come To Call

For
I Seek The Ways
To Make Myself Better.

CUPID

Cupid
may have
shot the arrow

Yet
I am the one
who feels the pain

Cupid
may have
left its mark

Yet
without my heart
there is no target

Cupid
may have
come with love

Yet
it is my heart
that brought love in

Cupid
may have
touched the spark

Yet
it is my flame
that lights the arrow.

A THOUGHT!

If there
is no one there
to hold you
Just reach
for God instead

If there
is no one there
to care for you
Care
for God instead

If there
is no one there
to take your heart
Give it to all
who don't have love.

The only pain
I cannot feel
Is that pain
that has no love

The only hurt
that really hurts
Is the feelings
I let go

GOD HAS SET ME FREE

I Could not
Stand in Front

I Could not
Sit where
I Wanted

I Had To Go
To The Back
and Weep

I was Held
Down by
Indifference

Pushed
back by Race

I Could
not move
to The Front

For
I was
Blocked
by Hatred

God
moved me
Ahead

Gave
me a Seat

I Rode
in His Chariot

Did
not Weep

I was
Happy to see

His
Golden Seat

I am here
for Eternity

With
Love as
my Guide

I am Free!

For
God is
at my Side.

Man may
have me
Ride the Bus

Yet
Life will Tell me
where and when

God
will show me
where
I must go

He drives
The Bus
would not
you know

He
drove
To Heaven

I was
in the
Front Seat

He
Placed me
There
For it was
His Seat.

BRINGING HOPE TO SHINE TODAY.

THANKS FOR SHARING
POEATREEMAN

I AM LIFE

I am The End
of my Beginning
The Start,
of my Life.

I am The Day,
Waiting for The Night

I am The Rising
of The Dawn
The Starting
of The Day.

I am The Sun,
Shining for Today.

I am The Twilight,
of my Nights
The Fullness
of Myself.

I am The Moon,
Reflecting
Through The Night.

I am at The Start of Time
The Passing of The Day.

I am The Hour Glass,
Holding The Sands of Life.

I am The Changes,
That you See
The Covers of Myself.

I am The Season,
Changing Mother Nature
Helping Her To Dress.

I am The Tide,
That Sweeps Across
All Things
The Waves
That Can not Be Stopped.

I am Truth,
That Showed all Things.

I am Life Abound,
I am Wisdom
To Be Found.

I am The Wealth of Ages
The Jewels of Today.

A THOUGHT!

If The Sun
Does not Set
The Moon
Does not Rise
Know
You Must Be Otherwise.

For if you
See no Things
You Must Have
Closed your Eyes
Wake up
It's Time
To See your Life!.
