LESSONS OF LIFE

A LESSON TO BE LEARNED

What
I Learned
in School

You
cannot
keep
God away

What
I Learned
in Life

I
see Him
every day

What
I Learned
in School

He
is Here
when I pray

What
I Learned
in Life

Is to
Thank Him
every day

What
I Learned
in School

Is to
Carry Him
each day

What
I Learned
in Life

Is not
to lose
the way..

A THOUGHT!

My Lesson
is a Lifetime
of Learning

The key
will be
was I Learning?

The School
I may come
through

Yet
Life's another
Journey.

Dedicated to Lauren  Kowan

A Poeatreeman

One hard Lesson
is fought each day

Give
not in
to ease the way

Look
at it all
to see the best

know the worst
was not the way.

A Poet's Note

Whenever
I come through
the Worst

Know
the Best
is in view

Whenever
the Best
is not to see

Take
the Worst
make it Better

Keeping
Perspective
will get
You through

The Best
and Worst
is what You do

God
is here
To help You through.

THE PENDULUM OF TIME

Man Plays for Time
He thinks
He Has Tomorrow

He
has only 24hrs

If
He does not
do it Right Today

Tomorrow
will only show

He did not
do it Today

Yesterday
I had Hope

It would
be Right Today

Man
Plays with Time,
THINKS!

There
is more Tomorrow

I
pushed it
all behind

Thinking
I was ahead

I
lost it all
to Time

For
I Set
my own Hour

Who
is ahead,
who is behind?

The
Man who thinks

He
can Wound Time

The
Fool who said
I have the Time

I
will meet
you Tomorrow

Why
not Today?

I
will have
more Time

To
see you Tomorrow

I
have
no Time Today

Death
came Yesterday

And
took Today

Tomorrow
brought me
no new day

Where
is Time
If
I let

The
Hands pass beyond?

I
pushed it ahead

To
Tomorrow's Dawn

I
set it further

Than
it was supposed
to be

How
do
I keep Time

When
it is not there
to see?

A Poeatreeman

I was set
for Life
when I was born

The Hour Ends
When
Death is at my Door

The
Hands that faced me

Were
Destiny and Fate

Set
to move
from Birth to Death

Each Day
 wounds me
to its end

I
am closer
than
I wish to think.

RUSHWhat is
One Minute,

If
I Wasted Two

To
Get There?

HUMANITIES A COURSE FOR LIFE

I have
a course in life

I
am trying
to be human

With
all the others
in this world

I
am trying
to be
the best I can

My grades
will be
each day
I am here

I
am
not better
just trying
to be good

I
am
not
in any class
for I see
only one world

Grant
you there
are poor and rich

Better
off does not
make you better

There
are some
who find
greatness
being poor

There
are others
who are rich

Find
they are
burdened
by it all

I
am best
when
I am human

I
am even
better
when
I help
my fellow man

If
I was born
with a silver spoon

It
does not
mean
my plate is full

If
I was not!

Does
not mean
I have
an empty one

For heart
and spirit
need both be full

If
I am poor
if I am rich

It matters
only
if I lose
my soul

For
in the end
it will not
be money

That
will bring
you to heaven

But
a heart of gold

Love
knows no rich or poor

It touches
all who seek it

Only man
puts it in a class

Poor little boy!

A THOUGHT! If my spirit is rich
I have no need for gold

If my pockets are full
my heart is empty

What is my soul?

DEDICATED TO HUMANITY

A Poeatreeman

The measure of a man
Is not
If his pockets are filled

But his heart
Has riches beyond gold

For what if a man
Has no heart

Where
Could he place
His greatest treasure?

He cannot
For he does not hold it .
