A STEP TO A HEART

If one can take a step to heart
One can find a way to Heaven

If one can take a step to love
one can find a way to care

If one can take a step to tears
One can find a way to feel

If one can take a step to faith
One can find a way to God

If one can take a step to sorrow
One can find a way to happiness

If one can take a step to hope
One can find a way to dream

If one can take a step to peace
One can find a way to heal

If one can take all these steps
One can find
a way to understanding

If one can take a step to wisdom
One can find
a way through misunderstanding

One step for man is to begin

One step, peace with God 

One step to heart is a way to begin.

Man heal thyself
For the wounds are self inflicted
Hate is the deadliest of weapons
For it cuts into all and bleeds the soul
leaves the heart without a care
No care to bandage the wounds
Pray to God it will not be
Is their anyone
who has love at all?
I just need one love
to keep it all from dying.
